Mrs Yeomans- Early Years Practitioner
Cedar B

Items to note
P.E. lessons will take place on Wednesdays for both classes and your child will need to bring a full P.E kit for these lessons. If your child wears earrings, please remove them or tape them up and please ensure that long hair is tied back. Please ensure all uniform and PE kits are clearly named and labelled.
Forest School sessions will take place on Thursday for both Cedar A and B. Please provide a labelled waterproof jacket, trousers, and wellington boots in a bag for your child. It would also be useful if you could provide a peg, so your child is able to independently peg their wellington boots together.
Homework packs- These will be given to your child on a Monday and must be returned by the Friday to ensure that all children are able to receive a new weekly homework pack. Please ensure these are wiped clean ready for the next child to use.
Reading books- Every Monday your child will choose x2 challenge reading books which will be changed weekly. Once your child takes these books home please record the titles of the books and any comments. We encourage families to try and read a minimum of x3 a week. Please ensure that you put these reading wallets into the reading box on a Monday morning outside the classrooms. On a Thursday your child will be given a Read Write Inc. decodable book linked to their phonics story of the week. Once your child takes this book home please record the titles of the book and any comments. Please ensure that you put these reading wallets into the reading box on a Thursday morning outside the classrooms.
Every other day of the week your child’s reading wallet should be in your child’s backpack to ensure an adult is able to read with them on a 1:1 basis.
