Pupil Premium and Services Children Premium

Pupil Premium

At Eastbury Farm Primary School, we want all our children to leave us having been inspired to be confident and successful learners, ready to explore their future as resilient and responsible individuals.  In relation to Pupil Premium pupils, as with all pupils, we will work to ensure they can reach their potential regardless of any barriers they have.  Pupil Premium is funding allocated to schools for the specific purpose of boosting the attainment of pupils who meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligible Pupils Criteria:

  • Eligible for Free Schools Meals (FSM) in the last six years; or
  • Eligible for Free Schools Meals (FSM) in the last six years; or
  • Adopted from care
  • Children of Armed Forces personnel

We recognise that some pupils in receipt of pupil premium may have specific barriers which hinder their progress and mean that they are at risk of not achieving as highly as their peers.    We draw on research evidence, such as the Education Endowment Foundation’s teaching and learning toolkit, and evidence from our own experience to allocate funding to interventions that are most likely to maximise achievement.

Services Children Provision

We are fortunate enough to offer a wealth of emotional and social provision for every child at Eastbury Farm. We appreciate that the transient lifestyle of a military family can be challenging, so to further support this we would encourage parents to share when children are going through a period of disruption or uncertainty, whether that be due to a parent deploying or preparation for relocation to another area or school. Please speak to your child's class teacher so that we can ensure that your child is given the appropriate support.

Regardless of status we adapt our provision for all vulnerable pupils, consequently our provision for children of service personnel along with other vulnerable pupils are catered for as part of our overall pupil premium strategy.
